Tomorrow (13 September) at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA), Hyundai will reveal the next-generation i30 hatchback. In South Africa the current i30 was launched in March 2010, and looks set for an early replacement campaign.
The car was designed and engineered in Europe, and really appears that way in terms of styling, which reminds one of cars like the Opel Astra and Renault Megane. Manufactured at the company’s Czech Republic plant, the new i30 is expected to be Hyundai’s first to receive a 5 star Euro NCAP safety rating. Of course it hasn’t been tested yet, but that is the hope.
We don’t know what kind of arsenal it packs yet, and so we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.
